The REFLECT Adult ADHD Service is a specialist service provided by REFLECT Innovations, Yarm. The service is available only to persons aged 18 years or over. Our specialist team will guide you through pre-screening tests, a comprehensive diagnostic assessment and future treatment plans to ensure the best management of your condition. 

 

What is ADHD? 

ADHD is a behavioural condition categorised by inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. It has an initial onset in childhood but is often ignored until adulthood when individuals notice significant difficulties in day-to-day life regarding work, social situations, and relationships. 

 

Causes of ADHD

There are multiple theories as to the cause of ADHD, however research on the area suggests various factors that can contribute to the onset of ADHD. 

 

Diagnosis and Treatment of ADHD

There is no single test to determine the presentation of ADHD, instead it is diagnosed through the collation of information from evaluation tools, clinician assessments and reports of childhood behaviour from significant persons identified by the client. ADHD impacts every individual differently and as such is treated on a bespoke case-by-case basis.
